Watts Martin’s riffs hilariously on macOS’s Stage Manager which, I somewhat resonate with.

Stage Manager’s newbie status means there are no terminal commands or AppleScript maneuvers to get it to launch. Instead, I tied Stage Manager to an insane keystroke combo that I would never actually use and then use Alfred to trigger the keystroke. Not the most elegant solution, but better than Raycast’s mouse movement strategy.

The times when I have used Stage Manager, it was helpful in compartmentalizing my creative work. It seems like an upgraded implementation of HazeOver. However, more often than not, I just never use it. I don’t see why I would need to when Mission Control window management, fueled by Moom, works pretty well. Moreover, I think I work too spatially to adhere to a tiled window manager like some of my Linux-friends.

I’m still jealous of Windows’ window management system, though ????.
